Red Bull Flies into the Metaverse and NFTs

One of the world's most recognizable brands, the top energy drink trademark, and an official sponsor of top-ranking kinds of sports, Red Bull sets its foot into the metaverse.

According to trademark and patents attorney Michael Kondoudis, Red Bull filed trademark applications for plenty of the metaverse- and NFT-related products, including multimedia tokens, cryptocurrencies, sports gear, clothing, drinks, financial exchange services,  protective clothing, protective footwear, toys, art, event logos, banners, accessories, skins, and that's all just after the first filing! On top of that, Red Bull seems to be willing to buy some land in the metaverse to set up a community there. It would allow users to purchase Red Bull's digital and physical merch, participate in the meta events, organize meet-ups with top athletes, and more. This information has been posted by the official on his Twitter earlier this week.

Red Bull itself hasn't yet commented on the statement. But taking into account the groundbreaking opportunities, which come with blockchain, there's no room for doubting the statement.

Red Bull is currently one of the largest sponsors of extreme sports like cliff diving and parachuting alongside high-profile Formula 1, NASCAR, football, and basketball. Thus, metaverse and NFTs can provide sports fans with out-of-this-world experiences in the virtual realm, simplify the ticketing process, provide NFT rewards, and more.

For now, we can only guess how Redbull is going to implement the opportunities it has filed for. Thus, bringing extreme sports into the metaverse would be a mind-blowing decision, eh?
