Louis Vuitton and Pharrell Williams Added a Non-Fungible Touch to the Iconic Speedy Bag

Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton is taking its Web3 game a step further, adding a non-fungible touch to its iconic bag. In collaboration with Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton released an NFT version of its Speedy bag, dubbed Speedy 40 VIA, that was revealed during Louis Vuitton’s Men's Spring Summer 2024 show.

The fashionista bag looks stunning, having the structure of a metallic box furnished with silver corners and a lock. Louis Vuitton’s trademark is embellished all over the fashion bag.

Speedy’s fashion line dates back to the 1960s when the deceased British actress Audrey Hepburn was captivated by the design of Speedy 30. However, she requested a smaller version (Speedy 25) as she considered the luxury travel bag Speedy 30 too big for her.

The Speedy 40 VIA bag comes as a sequel to the VIA Treasure Trunk, which was released in June. Each Treasure Trunk fashion bag was sold at a premium price of €39,000 ($42,000). The newest collection is open solely to Treasure Trunk NFT holders who can claim only one Speedy 40 collectible. Payments can be made using credit cards, PayPal, ApplePay, and cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, and USDC.

While the digital collectible of the bag is claimable now, the release of its physical twin is scheduled for January 2024. The physical counterpart of the luxury bag features high-end materials such as fine leather, shoulder strap, name tag, and others. Holders have two opportunities within one month to claim the physical twin of the Speedy bag. Louis Vuitton once mentioned that its phygital NFTs are key to exclusive product releases, vibrant events, and other mind-blowing experiences to be launched along the way.

The latest LV’s initiative shows the brand’s commitment to adopting innovation and servicing the taste of its high-end clients and fashionistas. It’s your chance to embrace the future and step into luxury with phygital Speedy bags!
