Viva Glam x Keith Haring Collaborative NFT Collection by MAC Cosmetics

One of the most popular beauty brands, MAC Cosmetics is one of the latest big market players to jump into NFTs. Although, among thousands of others, MAC is the first cosmetics manufacturer to join the realm with a totally charitable initiative.

For the creation of the debut NFT collection, MAC Cosmetics is teaming up with Keith Haring Foundation, engaged in aiding people with HIV/AIDS. Like Keith Haring, MAC also has started its charitable initiative Mac Viva Glam Fund to help the LGBTQ+ community and all others affected by HIV/AIDS.

The premier series of NFTs called Viva Glam x Keith Haring will launch on April 10th on OpenSea to coincide with America’s National Youth HIV/Aids Awareness Day. The drop will be available till June 1st with all primary sales to go to fund MAC Cosmetics' charitable initiative, while 2.5% from secondary sales on OpenSea will benefit Keith Haring Foundation.

Well, the Viva Glam x Keith Haring NFT collection will be composed of three animated graphic art of MAC’s Viva Glam lipsticks adorned with the late Keith Haring’s most renowned artworks, including the iconic Untitled (Heart Face) and Baby Angel.

The collection falls into three rarity levels and will be priced accordingly:

• Keith Haring Red – Rare (5,000 total).
• Keith Haring Blue – Exclusive (250 total). Animated NFT paired with a digital face chart tutorial of a Keith Haring-inspired makeup look created by a MAC Senior Artist.  
• Keith Haring Yellow – Icon (25 total): Animated yellow lipstick NFT, featuring Haring’s artwork backed up with a 30-minute personalized MAC Artist consultation and a physical present from MAC Cosmetics.

The price ranges vary from $25 up to $1,000 per piece.

On top of that, alongside NFT collectibles, MAC is also tending to jump into the metaverse. It's known that the cosmetics brand has joint efforts with Xbox and Tencent mobile game Honor of Kingston for the metaverse strategy planning.
