On May 5th, the ‘Minerva and Friends’ collaborative NFT project will go live on Nifty Gateway. Minerva is an independent record label founded by Grammy-Award-winning producer RAC. The label is focused on supporting artists through non-traditional means.
“This has been 10+ years in the making. I'm going to be releasing music through my own label Minerva and published through Minerva Publishing. I had a wonderful time working with different labels and companies over the years, but now's the time to set off on my own. I feel like I earned it. It's time to own my own work” – tells RAC.
‘Minerva and Friends’ or ‘‘Minerva Vol 1’ is a group of works by various artists who share a similar vision of supporting the new school creator economy. Some of them are signed to the label, and some aren’t.
“A compilation pairing our favorite musicians with amazing visual artists” – RAC calls the drop on Twitter.
The collection featuring 11 artworks (all 1/10 limited editions) priced at $111 each is aimed at bringing value back to artists through innovation and forward-thinking art.
