Model, writer, entrepreneur, and Instagram celebrity Emily Ratakjowski aka Emrata is entering the NFT space. The NFT piece, titled “Buying Myself Back: A Model for Redistribution” will be auctioned at Christie’s on May 14th. Emrata has made up her mind to create an NFT with an intention “to re-establish “authority” over the usage of her likeness.
“Using the newly introduced medium of NFTs, I hope to symbolically set a precedent for women and ownership online, one that allows for women to have ongoing authority over their image and to receive rightful compensation for its usage and distribution” – states Emrata in her social media pages.
