Emily Ratakjowski is an American model born in 1991 in London and raised in San Diego, California. She schooled at the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated from the UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture. Her leap into fame started in 2013 when she appeared in the music video of superstar singer, Robin Thicke, which rose to top charts in several countries. Emily started acting as a young girl and was part of the cast for the hit show, iCarly, on Nickelodeon. From then on, she has been the focus of the camera and has been cast in highly viewed movies such as Entourage, Gone Girl, I Feel Pretty and We Are Your Friends.
Her debut NFT drop was in 2014 which contained a picture of herself standing in front of a large side portrait of herself taken by artist Richard Prince. The drop was titled “Buying Myself Back: A Model for Redistribution”, a name coined to establish her statement regarding ownership of art and oppression of female artists by their male counterparts.
