Mongraal Sold His Dookey Dash Golden Key for 1,000 ETH

The one-of-one, ultra-exclusive Dookey Dash Golden Key was sold for a whopping 1,000 ETH, which is around $1.6M at the time of writing. The cherished item went to the Dookey Dash game’s winner who got the highest score. After competing against 25K players in the Yuga Labs' Dookey Dash web3 running game, the palm went to the Fortnite pro, Kyle Mongraal Jackson. Having rejected a few offers, with the second-to-last reaching 999 ETH, Mongraal finally gave up in favor of the CEO of Upstate Shredding, Adam Weitsman.

Kyle Jackson shared the big news via a Twitter post that reads: "Have agreed to sell the key for 1000 ETH to Adam Weitsman. Super nice guy and thrilled the sale went through with him. A special thank you to Yuga Labs for hosting an incredible competition. I look forward to competing in future events. Royalties will be paid in full."

It's noteworthy that the initial asking price for the Golden Key was reaching an incredible 2,222 ETH. However, Weitsman bought the token for 1,000 ETH, cutting the price by over half. Previous, slightly less significant offers by United Planets DAO and 9GAG were rejected at once.

Recalling the Dookey Dash game, which has finally made Mongraal a millionaire, it was accessible for BAYC and MAYC holders through a Sewer Pass for free. As a holder of several Bored Ape NFTs, Kyle was airdropped his Sewer Passes the same as other community members. The initiative was running from January 18th to February 15th, while the Dookey Dash: Toad Mode, allowing gamers to win additional rewards, is closing on March 1st.

According to teasers, holders need to keep their to open new awe-inspiring perks and experiences. So now, all sights of the NFT community will be drawn to Adam Weitsman and the Golden Key to see what's next!
