The Nike-owned web3 luxury brand RTFKT is bringing style to the custody market as part of a new collaboration with Ledger. This partnership is aimed at taking the security of blue-chip collectibles up a notch, alongside revealing educational programming.
The new RTFKT x Ledger collection of self-custody hardware wallets as well as the educational partnership was introduced to the public during NFT Paris which was running February 24th-25th. During the announcement, Ledger brought RTFKT founder Benoit Pagotto to the stage to detail the partnership.
“We’re super proud to continue our collaboration with Ledger and to push it to the next level with these products, allowing everyone to get into digital collectibles safely and in RTFKT style,” Pagotto said.
Both Ledger and RTFKT attach great importance to security and education when dealing with web3. Even prior to the collaboration, Ledger was engaged in several educational programs like Ledger Quest, which allowed participants to earn crypto while learning.
According to the press release, the RTFKT x Ledger partnership started with a physical release of a special all-white custom edition of the Ledger Nano S Plus, I’m Nano X, and Nano X Vial available for purchase as an NFT and redeemable for the physical item. The initial limited-edition release will be followed by future collaborations that come backed with RTFKT Quests. The aim behind the initiative is to bring education to the masses, emphasizing the role of tried-and-true hardware in security. The branded quests, designed and co-created by both Ledger and RTFKT creative teams, will provide the grade-A onboarding experience and rewards.
Additionally, RTFKT and Ledger Genesis holders will have access to a limited-edition Nano-case accessory – an ultra-exclusive silver pendant with the RTFKT logo on the end caps, which comes with a Nano X. This exclusive drop, with the allowlist currently open for Clone X and Genesis Pass Holders, will soon be available on [ L ] Market.
The RTFKT x Ledger collaboration is blurring the limits between art and tech. Each RTFKT Collection item sold on [ L ] Market comes with RTFKT’s creative guide on how to create a cold wallet and use it securely on web3.
