Jonathan Thunder is an award-winning painter, filmmaker, and digital media artist. This artist is known for his large-scale paintings with surreal imagery, animated films and installations. Through his artworks, Jonathan often addresses subject matter from loss and recovery of Indigenous sovereignty, environmental welfare, and humorous social commentary.
The artist won several awards as well as he is the recipient of a 2020 Pollock – Krasner Foundation Award for painting.
