The 'Prince of Darkness and the former leader of the iconic heavy metal band Black Sabbath has announced the launch of his 1st NFT collection dabbed Cryptobatz. The collection of 9,666 outstanding pixel bats is a reference to Osbourne biting the head off a live bat during a solo concert in Des Moines, Iowa. January 20, 2022, will mark 40 years since the infamous incident took place at Veterans Memorial Auditorium.
"Every cryptobat trait has been creatively directed by Ozzy Osbourne. Unlike some of Ozzy's previous bat friends, these ones live safely in the metaverse and are not edible… yet," says the announcement on the Cryptobatz website.
The 73-year-old Ozzy has teamed up with NFT nerds from Sutter Systems. In addition to all Cryptobaz being designed following the Fibonacci sequence, they will be able to bite and mutate their holder's other NFTs, creating a mutant bat that shares the digital DNA of both tokens.
After a couple of failures to buy a Bored Ape, Ozzy Osbourne has come up with the idea of creating NFTs of his own. The Collection is promised to see the world in mid-January. Are you waiting?
