Mr. Nobody.
I created this series of Mr. Nobody between 2016 and 2018. My inspiration came from one of my shoots, I put a plastic bag on the head of my model as a joke and suddenly he became more dynamic and flexible. He started to dance so freely as if he was a totally different person and it fascinated me.
The bag covers his face so I thought of it as some kind of restriction but it became more like protection, he became a nobody, more freer and he could do whatever he wanted.
As a nobody, we can be so free, why?
How many limitations do we put on our shoulders and inside our hearts?
Who we really are?
I want to use these photos to explore the possibilities and connections between our hearts and minds, inside and outside, truth and fantasy, love and fear, If there are 1000 kinds of reality then there will be1001 perspectives.
Funny enough that we all have to wear a mask nowadays!
Life is so abstract, it is like a playground.
