Core of the project
The Maracocos NFT Collection aims to be socially and environmentally responsible. Four NGOs from various sectors are supported through this project.
Unicef - Providing humanitarian and developement aid to children worldwide.
ICRC - Protecting the life and dignity of the victims of international and internal armed conflicts.
Amnesty International - Protecting human rights.
WWF - Stopping the degradation of the planet's natural environment and building a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
Every month, 30% of the funds raised through the sales and resales of Maracocos flamingos will be shared equally between the four NGOs mentioned above.
Moreover, 10% of the funds will be gifted every month to the community through an incentive program.
The buyer of the highest price - 10% of the funds are gifted to the person who buys a Maracocos at the highest price during the current month. If several owners have bought a Maracocos at the same price, the winner will be drawn at random.
Why Polygon Blockchain
The Maracocos NFT Collection has been created on the Polygon Blockchain. The main reason of this choice is that it is an Eco-Friendly Blockchain scaling Ethereum. Polygon uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism which does not require as much power as a Proof of Work (PoW) consensus mechanism such as the one used by Ethereum.
Moreover, Polygon is a gas-free Blockchain.
Technical data of the Maracocos
This collection contains 10'000 Maracocos. Each one of them is a 1/1 edition. They have been created on a 24x24 pixels canva and have different rarities. Each NFT is a 3000x3000 PNG. The metadata have been frozen.
The price of the first 200 Maracocos is a fixed price at 0.05 Polygon Eth. Every week, 200 new Maracocos will appear and the price will increment by 0.01 Polygon Eth.

My name is Plimsy. I am a Swiss student in management. I live in the french part of Switzerland so I hope I haven't made t0o much mistakes.
I gave my best to create this collection even if I don't work as a graphic designer. These NFTs may be simple but the main goal of this collection is to raise funds for Unicef, ICRC. Amnesty International and WWF.
If you don't want to support the project because you don't like it or because it may be too expensive, there is no problem. Nevertheless, I encourage you to make a donation by yourself to one of these NGOs or even to an other one that matches your values.
