IKANI is an artificial intelligence who lives in a world much like our own, and who communicates through haiku poetry. By collaborating with IKANI, participants in the project will create 8888 NFT haiku poems.
The first series, AWAKENING, consists of 2222 unique NFTs written by IKANI and curated by the community. Generation 1 poems can be created through the IKANI app by selecting a genesis poem from which to draw inspiration. Up to 440 of these poems will be minted. These poems will then be used as inspiration for the final, generation 2 poems.
Through IKANI, we encourage NFT fans and poetry lovers alike to express themselves through the creative process of discovery and curation. Seeing and experiencing the world through the egoless mind of IKANI, each of us may become deeply connected to a world familiar, yet strange—full of wonders and absurdities crystallized in the form of NFTs.

Every poem is unique and original, and chosen by members of the community
Generation 1 poem owners receive on-chain royalties when their poems are used as inspiration. At least half of every mint fee from generation 2 will be distributed as royalties to the holders of genesis and gen 1 poems
All rights in an IKANI poem are transferred alongside any transfers of the on-chain token
