The Asteroid Belt Club is a long-term initiative focused on providing a solution to the property rights problem asteroids and their mineral resources have, generating a community that, making use of Blockchain Technology, will contribute to their future exploration and exploitation.
This community will be a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). Membership will require the possession of an NFT minted by the Asteroid Belt Club ( hereafter referred to simply as NFT), each representing claims to the property rights of various asteroids listed and numbered in the MPC database of the Minor Planet Center, officially recognized by the International Astronomical Union. The Asteroid Belt Club will take care of several activities, which include the following:
A - Act as a registry for claims of ownership of asteroids.
B - Promote and support activities related to the effective recognition of the property rights of its members.
C - Develop mechanisms to enable peaceful resolution of conflicts related to rights to use and explore asteroids.
D - Support asteroid exploration, disclosure, reconnaissance, and exploitation.
E - Risk investment in the exploration and exploitation of resources in space.
To achieve its objectives, the Asteroid Belt Club will have a set of resources at its disposal, the magnitude of which will depend on the project's success.
Each NFT is a graphic piece with unique properties associated with a token minted on the Ethereum network that represents the first property claim of the corresponding asteroid.
