Infected Mushroom is an Israeli musical duo formed in 1996 by Erez Eisen and Amit Duvdevani. They later moved to the United States and are now based in Los Angeles, California. The band is known for its boldness which helps it remain unique and relevant. The band’s compositions comprise layered melodies and hypnotic arrangements which allow their music to cross to different genres. Musical enthusiasts have labelled Infected Mushroom as the trendsetter for psytrance music which started with the two members refusing to stick to the rules and instead write their own rulebook.
The band has collaborated with musicians from other genres of music like, Swollen Members; a Canadian hip-hop duo, and Gil Cerezo, a member of the Mexican band, Kinky. Infected Mushroom has a total of 12 albums. The most recent album is titled “More Than Just a Name” and features collaborations with Astrix and Bliss. The band’s first piece on NFT is the “Shroomeez'' collection which features unreleased tracks from their producers. Holders of Shroomeez NFT will be treated to a livestream performance by the band in the near future.
