Disney is head-hunting an NFT-savvy to take up a business developer post

The global entertainment giant, Disney, is known to be an avid supporter of blockchain technology. Numerous collabs and tens of thematic NFT collections processed by the most reputable agencies speak better than words. Recently, as proof to all the abovestated, Disney has been spotted looking for a business development manager to deal with the brand's NFT initiatives. As the recent job post says, the applicant “will help lead Disney's efforts in the NFT space including monitoring the evolving marketplace, setting category strategy, and managing key partners.”

It's worth noting that since late November 2021, Disney has announced three other vacant places. And guess what? All of them related to non-fungible tokens, like this one: ‘Culture Trend Marketing Manager’ for its subsidiary Hulu, to help the streaming platform expand into other spaces, including gaming, NFTs, crypto, and the metaverse.

It's needless to say that Disney was among the first global brands to get interested in the metaverse and crypto. And now, the company seems to embrace everything connected with web3. Thus, it's no secret that Disney is busy creating the VR version of Disneyland, with realistic 3D visualizations and the possibility of interaction with everyone and everything in there.

In a statement from the company’s CEO, Bob Chapek explained, “Our efforts to date are merely a prolog to a time when we’ll be able to connect the physical and digital worlds even more closely, allowing for storytelling without boundaries in our own Disney metaverse, and we look forward to creating unparalleled opportunities for consumers to experience everything Disney has to offer across our products and platforms, wherever the consumer may be.”
