In early 2009, world-renowned tattoo artist and Ink Master contestant, Jesse Smith, traveled to Ecuador for a tattoo convention. It was here that he met a local fisherman named Ricardo who spoke of a mysterious land that was covered in blue fauna, burning forests, and mountain ranges that stretched across its horizon. He also talked about never before seen creatures that could only survive in the continent's delicate ecosystem. He called this place Carkayous! Gleaming with curiosity, Jesse had to see this land for himself. So in trade for a tattoo, Ricardo took him to see this place with his own eyes.
