Argentinian NFT and comic artist, José Delbo, and, metaverse studio, Apollo Entertainment, have announced that they will release their brand new digital art collection Satoshiverse - The Battle For The Outskirts on Coinbase NFT. The collection is set to release on January 27, 2023 at 3 PM EST. Delbo, a renowned comic artist whose professional career spans over 70 years and includes work on household names such as Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, the Transformers, and the Beatles Yellow Submarine, has emerged as one of the most widely collected artists in the NFT space after his entry into the space in early 2020. Delbo is best known in the NFT space for his release of the first original NFT comic book and being one of two artists who collaborated on the first six-figure sale of an NFT art piece. Now, Delbo has partnered with Apollo Entertainment to create a series of pieces that introduce some of the characters and themes from Apollo Entertainment’s game “Satoshi’s Legions: The Battle For The Outskirts”.
The “Satoshiverse - The Battle For The Outskirts” NFT collection consists of three comic art pieces, created by Delbo, and one comic art/3D collaboration between Delbo and Apollo Entertainment, all depicting Delbo and Apollo Entertainment’s hero, Satoshi The Creator.
The first piece, titled “The Battle For The Outskirts”, depicts Satoshi The Creator and his Legionnaires battling the Defenders of Fiat in the Outskirts as part of a rebellion to restore the people’s freedom after the Defenders of Fiat installed an authoritarian regime following the Great Pandemic.
This limited edition of 10 piece will be available on a first come first serve basis for 0.7 ETH. Primary Market purchasers of this piece will also be airdropped a random Bandit, Renegade, Rebel, Outlaw, or Drifter Legionnaire avatar from the Satoshi’s Legions collection (see below)!
The second piece, titled “Shizoku - The Family of Death”, introduces one of the main antagonists of the Satoshi’s Legions game, the Shizoku gang. Fearing that their control over the Outskirts was slipping away, the Defenders Of Fiat contracted with a ruthless gang called the Shizoku - the Family of Death. Led by Shiyuki, the daughter of a fabled Yakuza villain known only as the Samurai, the Shizoku embodied their name by showing no mercy to anyone they were hired to extinguish, including Satoshi’s followers. The Samurai is depicted, along with Satoshi and Delbo’s original character Death, the protagonist in the first ever NFT comic book.

The third piece, titled “The Hinoshi”, introduces one of the most brutal classes of warriors in the Shizoku ranks - the Hinoshi. Armed with powerful flamethrowers they have terrorized the people of the Outskirts, burning what little they had left to ashes.

Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, the fourth and final piece, an animated collaboration between Delbo and Apollo Entertainment, titled “The Vitruvian Hero”, depicts Satoshi The Creator transforming from a comic 2D sketch to his 3D form and pays homage to Delbo’s original illustration of Satoshi and the comic blockchain universe that has emerged from it.
The “Vitruvian Hero” will be offered as a 24 hour limited edition piece for 0.1 ETH that will give collectors Alpha Phase 3 early access to the Satoshi’s Legions game.
By purchasing a piece from the collection, collectors will not only get to own a limited edition piece of Delbo’s art, but they will also get early access to the Satoshi’s Legions game and other benefits within the Satoshiverse ecosystem.
