Partition Core is an NFT collection of 10k tokens on Ethereum. Not a PFP collection, these tokens are designed to provide real utility for game developers long into the future, but they are for everyone to mint and trade.
Each NFT has the ability to spin up a unique fungible token (ERC20) contract based on a standard template. The technical specifics of the NFTs, and the standard template, were chosen so that Core could become an on-chain "base" for web3 games over the longest possible horizon.
The most essential feature of the ERC20 standard template is that every clone has a supply that is capped at 1 million coins.
This leads to the vision behind the project: ownership of games by its players in the strongest sense. Definite percentage stake. In this way, Core concentrates the potential of web3 gaming by restricting tokenomics to the most long-term oriented model.
If we got things right, and we just might have, the system will bootstrap itself. Principles of self-sovereignty and decentralization were built in from the start, so it would become public infrastructure. Hooks were added so that devs can extend functionality off-chain.
