In the early days, when Eol was barren, and the seas were still, and the creatures of the world still slumbered, there existed a pantheon where the gods took drink and feasted and planned.
In this realm, there was no suffering or strife, and all was peaceful and right. Still, the land of the gods was austere and plain and lacked beauty, and song, and dance. So too lacked the world of Eol which they drew up, for they had woven a world with all the right things: it had mountains and oceans, man and beast, forest and fields, wind and rain.
But still it felt incomplete, a sketch without paint. And the gods discussed and plotted and planned and finally landed on the idea that the elves, the fairest and wisest of their creations on Eol, may be able to help and solve the missing pieces that they could not. So the gods decided that they would awake just two of the elves, who slumbered now in the sleep that consumed all things of Eol, and they would invite them to the pantheon of the gods.
So the gods gave the elves wings so they could fly to the plane of the gods, and when they came they asked their consul on how to bring beauty and song and dance to the world. So the elves taught them, and sung to them in enrapturing hymns and graceful dance. And the gods called them the Elysor, after their word for beauty.
Through them the seasons came, and the wind learned its tune, and language was introduced to the world. So great were the gifts of the Elysor that the gods brought up more elves to join them and soon there would be a whole city of Elysor, that lived in gilded glory in the vastness of the pantheon of the gods.
And for many centuries the Elysor stayed with the gods, and watched and advised as the world grew. But there came a time when the world began to lose its harmony, and wars began to break out, and songs began to turn dark.
So the gods asked the Elysor to leave the Pantheon and go to Eol, and live amongst the creatures of the world and bring peace where there was chaos. And this is the origin of the Elysor of the world.
