The NFT space has never seen a capsule drop, which would be that large. Thus, Nike-owned RTFKT launches over 10 sets of phygital wearables and more than 60 one-of-one items tied to a specific Clone X avatar, as part of the drop dubbed Clone X Forging. In simple words, ‘forging’ allows holders to claim merchandise related to their Clone X avatar’s DNA/Trait. Among those 60 items, there are some very special ones such as exclusive Nike Air Force 1 sneakers designed by Takashi Murakami. By the way, this initiative is the first ever fully Phygital Fashion collection.
The sets within the drop include the following token traits: Human, Robots, Demons, Angels, Reptile, Undead, Murakami, Alien, Murakami Drip, and a general collection available for each Clone X holder. The general collection aka the Clone X Genesis collection is inspired by Clone X’s iconic visuals and Clone X Smart Contract. The thing is that all holders are eligible for minting and forging the genesis t-shirt for free.
So, each set comprises different types of wearables like tees, hoodies, jackets, hats, socks, and sneakers. While T-shirts are available for all Clone X holders for free, the other wearables will range from $30 up to $600 for a pair of sneakers. The number of wearables available for minting depends on the quantity of Clone X avatars and their DNA, with two per NFT on average.
The drop launches on August 31st and will be running for a week. Needless to say, all items will be forged for physical pieces equipped with near-field communication (NFC) tags. NFT tags concern all merch except for socks and hats, allowing owners token-gated experiences like closed events and more.

After the drop is finished, the NFT holders will have only one week to forge their tokens for physical items.
