Pranksy, an NFT whale and co-founder of the NFTBoxes collection, has partnered with the blockchain-based fantasy football game Sorare to unveil a new NFT initiative dubbed PranksyPlays.
The collab will enable Pranksy community members to engage in two private football leagues within the Sorare ecosystem. While one is open to free-to-play card holders, the other requires a Super Rare or a Unique card to gain access. Winners are eligible for rewards like NFTs from Pranksy’s portfolio, VIP tickets to Premier League matches, and merchandise from Sorare. To celebrate the launch of PranksyPlays, the NFT whale will give away a pair of VIP tickets for the Liverpool vs. Arsenal game on Sunday, April 9th.
Pranksy described its newest product as a playground for exploring NFT-related experiences.
“Introducing #PranksyPlays, a new area on our social feeds for playing and promoting games, applications and experiences that NFTs truly enhance!”
Pranksy further cemented the partnership by purchasing Sorare’s Super Rare players below 23 years from the auction house and via the secondary market.
The Pranksy community is especially fond of Sorare’s large user base, built through numerous online and offline marketing tactics. Since the fantasy gaming company partnered with Premier League to debut NFT-geared sports games, Pranksy has eyed the platform for a potential collaboration. Being among the top 10 NFT projects with the highest weekly volume, Sorare is a truly tasty morsel for Pranksy to partner with.
The collaboration between Pranksy and Sorare is mutually beneficial for both parties. The NFT whale could leverage the partnership to onboard sports fans into the digital asset world, while the NFT card game could attract collectors within the Pranksy community.
