But what is nazar? In many different cultures nazar is good-luck charm shaped like an eye to keep evil wishes away from you. By wearing or having an eye or amulet it is believed it will protect you from people who wish bad things for you in the form of a compliment.
For some horrible reason people don't like others living their best life, they get jealous and perhaps inadvertently they put some bad juju out there to make people suffer. If having a pretty eye can protect you from that, then why the hell not.
