French clothing brand Lacoste has been quite long preparing to enter the realm. And finally, it's going to happen, with the launch of the UNDW3 (pronounced underwater) web3 project, aimed at involving the fans in the brand's further development.
Firstly, Lacoste opened its Discord server to allow the community to stay updated on the current state of UNDW3 development. Further, the fashion brand announced its first NFT drop. There are only 11212 animated UNDW3 NFTs in total, depicting the iconic Lacoste crocodile emerging from the water.
Prior to the public mint, Lacoste launched a raffle, which gave users access to a bunch of new web3 fashion experiences and gave the role of Egg Crocodile on the brand's official Discord channel. Over 55,000 people participated in the raffle but only 16,000 of them acquired UNDW3 NFTs. All those lucky raffle winners need to have at least 0.1 ETH in their wallets to mint their crocodiles on June 15th via the Lacoste official website
For now, the raffle is closed, but the public drop is about to launch in no time, on June 15th. Each NFT is priced at 0.08ETH, and the total number of tokens is a nod to the L1212 polo shirt, which was the first clothes piece designed by Lacoste founder René Lacoste.
And, of course, all NFT holders will be provided with access to the UNDW3’s universe, a strong, creative community with multiple IRL and digital perks awaiting its members. The long-term UNDW3 project's vision aims to provide "access to products and content created by the community for the community."
