The "Maowi, The Firestarter" NFT Collection is the first phase of the "Tribal Urban" project. The collection consists of 10,000 unique pieces, each featuring a different way in which Maowi, a black woman from New York, was hidden from the FBI after she sparked a rebellion against modern society.
Maowi was fired from her job at a bank after she resisted her manager's sexual harassment. In response, she suggested to her friends that they live like old tribes, refusing to use money, banks, and modern city life. Unbeknownst to her, a guy recorded their conversation and it went viral, leading to plans to occupy a part of Central Park to make this tribe happen.
However, the FBI caught wind of the plan and began to search for Maowi. Her followers provided her with different lenses and wigs to hide, while everyone who was a part of the plan carried a special mandala to identify each other.
The "Maowi, The Firestarter" NFT Collection showcases the different ways in which Maowi was hidden during this rebellion. Each of the 10,000 pieces features a unique design that represents a different way in which Maowi was disguised, making them truly one-of-a-kind.
This collection is not only visually stunning but also tells a powerful story of rebellion against societal norms and the lengths people will go to in order to protect their beliefs. The "Tribal Urban" project will keep 4 different collections, which consist of the remaining characters of this rebellion. “Chang, A Loyal Fellow”, ‘Douglas. Lifetime Struggler”, “Joana, A Strategy Genius”, “Mostafa, The Healer”. After these 5 collections, the project will be transformed into a web3 strategy game and all NFTs will be used with different properties in there.
