PLANET4REASON: «Non-Fungible Tokens for tangible actions»
Planet4Reason was born at 1:34 AM on 29/12 from an idea that was born sometime before and developed from a desire for change.
Alessandro Cardinale (CEO), student of Business Administration, and Lorenzo Vecchio (CTO), student of Economics and Business Administration, decided to take action by founding Planet4Reason: a reality that would give 30% of its proceeds to charity. The Internet has made incredible developments in many areas, from medicine to e-commerce.
However, it has not been without side effects and contradictions. Social media platforms, born to facilitate interpersonal relationships, often end up caging people in the solitude of their walls, illuminated only by the dark light of their smartphones.
We like to think that the web is above all a resource and that its widespread diffusion can reach every latitude. Therefore, we chose NFTs as a vehicle to convey our message of support for environmental sustainability. Blockchain technology will guarantee total transparency and the possibility of tracking the fate of the 30%, mentioned previously, reserved for charity.
We are the P4R army, we have ambitions to expand and make our actions more concrete. Our mission is to restore our planet to its original health and beauty. We are divided into four divisions, inspired by the fundamental elements of nature: fire, water, earth, and air. Each division is centered around one of the elements and fights against a specific cause. Each section is composed of ten planets, each planet has ten copies because there are ten planeters that "reside" there. Therefore there will be 400 planeters that will have the possibility to enter Planet4Reason.
The fire division aims to help the forests that have suffered from fires, such as the Amazonian or Australian, and to help families who have suffered losses due to them.
The water division aims at eliminating plastic from the seas and guaranteeing free access to drinkable water sources to those who, unfortunately, still lack them.
The land division's goal is the replanting of trees affected by deforestation.
Finally, the air division has a broader goal, to offset the massive amount of C02 emitted by companies and people, and to expand the use of renewable energy.
By joining Planet4Reason, you will have access to our community, developed on discord.
There will be 5 servers in total. A general one for anyone who owns an NFT and a specific one for each division. You will be able to discuss issues related to the cause you belong to and propose new causes or entities we can trust. The best ones will be selected and chosen at the end of each month.
We intend to transform charity, which has always been seen as something passive, into an active act. All this will be possible thanks to the associations and charities that we have chosen with dedication and care. It is our goal, one day, to become the entity ourselves. Creating new collections and helping our planet in as many ways as possible. For the moment we remain simple university students but we have great ambitions and we know we can do it.
