As part of the long-year partnership with BlockBar and Vayner3, the premier Scotch whiskey brand Johnnie Walker is once again releasing a series of limited-edition Blue Label bottles paired with NFTs. After the mega-successful launch in September, Johnnie Walker now extended its list of partners with a notable streetwear designer VANDYTHEPINK, and the US-originated record label, video production, and marketing company 88rising.
The exclusive 250 NFTs featuring artwork by VANDYTHEPINK, known for his eye-catching, playful graphics on clothing and sneakers, will come paired with unmatched whiskey and art experiences at this year's Art Basel. The NFT series itself, dubbed VANDYTHEPINK x Johnnie Walker Blue Label, will be available for purchase starting from November 22nd. One day prior to the public sale, the early-access mint for BlockBar’s Johnnie Walker token holders, Johnnie Walker POAP holders, and selected Web3 community members will be held. Each NFT, priced at $355, will come paired with a physical 750 mL bottle, which will be available for redemption on December 1st. Actually, a digital token acts as a certificate of ownership for the real-life rare whiskey bottle. On top of that, the owners will also be invited to an in-person VIP meet-and-greet with VANDYTHEPINK at V — an immersive web3 experience at Miami Art Basel on December 1st. Moreover, there, at Art Basel, the holders will receive a signed, serially numbered commemorative physical artwork, as well as will be treated to a Blue Label liquid cocktail menu and tasting.
Following the successful release of the Johnnie Walker Ghost and Rare Port Dundas NFTs in September, the current drop offers a new immersive art experience for whiskey lovers. Thus, all holders will be allowed to participate in a token-gated voting experience to choose which artwork will be featured on the physical bottle they will receive in December.
For this, Junghoon Son aka VANDYTHEPINK has developed five custom designs for the Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle adornment, including Harmonious Clouds, Bold Dragon, Royal Fan, Maturing Flowers, and Balanced Fish. The endeavor marks the artist’s first entry into the NFT realm.
After December 1st, not only the physical bottle of whiskey blends will be updated with Son's art, but also the NFTs will go through an update, displaying the most-voted artwork. Upon choosing the official design of the VANDYTHEPINK x Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottles and NFTs, the holders will be offered to burn their digital assets to receive the limited-edition Blue Label bottle with the distinguished designs.
