It’s difficult to describe in words how much representatives of creative professions, in particular NFT artists, do for Ukraine now. First of all, they help spread the word about Ukraine so the whole world knows the truth and the real situation in the country being struck by russian aggression. The second thing and no less important is that a huge number of artists launch charitable projects to raise money for the military and medical aid, humanitarian needs, animals, and those who require it the most in Ukraine.
The Los Angeles-based artist Tristan Eaton is one of the others who has joined the initiative and launched an NFT project to support Ukraine. It’s worth noting that first Tristan painted a mural featuring the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the message “Слава Україні,” meaning “Glory to Ukraine”. This mural embellishes one of the walls in LA and acts as a display of solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their time of war. However, he didn’t stop there. In collaboration with nonprofit organization CORE, Tristan Eaton transformed his art into 500 NFTs united in one collection, titled ‘Glory to Ukraine’ to be auctioned off on the OpenSea marketplace.
“Like most of the world, I’m horrified to see what’s happening in Ukraine right now. My heart goes out to the thousands of innocent people fleeing their homes because of a senseless war. The way I’ve made change in the world is through my art. While sitting half way across the world I felt helpless but compelled to act and create. With the motivation of my NFT community and a box of spray paint, I knew I could help in some way.” – says the artist.
Tristan Eaton’s Glory to Ukraine NFTs are already available for purchase with an accessible base price of 0.1 ETH. At the moment of writing, the volume trade already exceeds 15 ETH.
