What if the background tells more of the story than the subject in focus? What if we turn our back on our backgrounds? “Featured Horizons” explores this dynamic through 33 unique one-of-one pieces, foregrounding a solitary woman against a diverse range of backgrounds. Rural Japanese landscapes, urban cityscapes, and raw, woodblock-inspired textures all appear—and while the figure anchors each composition, it’s the background—rich with evocative details—that tells the whole story. A collaboration between frequently sold-out Orangehare artists Yuki and Klara, this collection merges their distinct styles of woodblock and encaustic printing techniques, designed and brought to life through Orangehare’s in-house production process.
