Jack Butcher’s Credits are 8 × 8 fields of color. CryptoPunks are 24 × 24 portraits. The grids fit: each Credit square covers a 3 × 3 piece of a Punk. That simple connection became CREDITED PUNKS.
The Punk keeps its original background and its shape. The Credit changes the colors inside it. What remains is recognizably a Punk, with its colors drawn from that Credit.
The series moves through the Punks in order, from #0 to #9999. At mint, one unused Credit in your wallet colors the next Punk. That Credit ID can be used once for this series. Minting does not burn your Credit.
A Credit began with an $8 payment. We set CREDITED PUNKS at one tenth of that: a fixed 0.00029 ETH per mint, about $0.80 when the price was chosen.
The renderer reads the Punk’s onchain pixels and the Credit’s onchain seed and time to create the SVG and animation. It does not need the Credit’s tokenURI or a saved image on a server.
