The top-tier carmakers are gradually transferring their iconic automobile models into the web3. One of the latest representatives of the high-end automobile industry is the legendary Chevrolet. But, unlike other carmakers who just sell NFTs featuring their car models, Chevy goes further by auctioning a Corvette-themed NFT, paired with its physical custom-painted copy.
The customized NFT of Corvette Z06 in mint green bursting through the cyberpunk landscape was designed by artist Nick Sullo aka xsullo. It is being auctioned off on the SuperRare NFT marketplace starting from June 20th and up to June 24th. The winning bidder will drive away in a custom-painted 2023 Corvette Z06, which will never have analogs of the same "minted green" color.
Thus, the only one exclusive Corvette will be linked to the piece of NFT art forever with no other alike. Moreover, the car's VIN number will be in binary, as NFT are recorded as binary codes in the blockchain.
“The Corvette Z06 is an ambitious car that I totally vibe with. I’m drawn to how technology can make us feel, and I can tell the designers of Corvette Z06 draw from similar inspiration,” xsullo the artist commented on his artwork.
