Andy Warhol, who was one of the most influential contemporary visual artists, left a rich legacy. Today, his artworks are exhibited in the most renowned art galleries and museums, including Tate, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, and more.

Currently, one of Andy Warhol's works dubbed Portraits of the Artist 1.7 has been split into 961 NFT fractions to be sold via the Cubic marketplace. The original artwork is a compilation of ten 10 multicolored polystyrene cubes, with the portraits of the 10 contemporary artists: Robert Morris, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Larry Poons, James Rosenquist, Frank Stella, Lee Bontecou, Donald Judd, Robert Rauschenberg, and Andy Warhol himself.

By purchasing an NFT, a holder acquires a 1/961 NFT version of the physical piece owned by the group of Mexican art collectors named Cubic. The authenticity in ownership is paramount, which is why each NFT will be accompanied by signed release rights and guarantees the following:

  • investment appreciation
  • ownership of a piece of history
  • access to exclusive community events and benefits
  • bragging rights

Each polystyrene cube-shaped fraction will cost around $55 during the pre-mint and about $65 at the public sale. Go to OpenSea, mint your fraction box, and wait for it to be revealed in a few days.

“Collecting art is no longer a privilege of the select few. Blockchain has shaped the course of art history and its market. By joining Cubic, you become part of a community that will allow the decentralization of traditional practices of art,” Cubic's spokesperson said.

Own a piece of contemporary art without spending a fortune. Andy Warhol is now accessible to everyone.
