Alberto Mielgo, also known as El Onix, is a painter, director, art director, designer, animator, concept artist, and beeple collector. He was born and raised in Madrid, Spain but later moved and settled in Los Angeles. Alberto began working in an animation studio at the age of 18 years. Today, he is globally recognized due to his collaboration for the production of films that have become masterpieces. They include:
- Tron: Uprising, love, death and robots: the witness episode
- spider man: into the spider verse
- The Beatles: Rock Band
Additionally, Mielgo won a Primetime Emmy Award, and Annie Award for his work on Tron: uprising as the best production designer in 2013. He also won three Emmy Awards in 2019 as the best animated short, best art direction, best animation and an Annie award for best art direction of the witness episode created for Netflix animation anthology death, love and robots which he wrote, designed and directed.
