The Ethra0x NFT Collection is in a Continuous Process of Creation — an Interview with the Founder

We are talking to Omres today, the founder of the Ethra0x project. Omres deal with various types of art, from digital 2d and 3d design, wood and clay sculptures, to composing music. Omres says that everything within the Ethra0x project is created only by him, but it is possible that he will have collaborations with some close friends and artists in the future.

Chris: First and foremost, I am quite impressed by the concept of the NFT. Can you please simply explain how does this NFT come together?

Omres: In my cryptocurrency research, I discovered Ethereum. The more I  studied it, the more I fell in love with its concept and everything it made possible, such as censorship resistance, creating decentralized applications, defi, nft, tokens... I think Ethereum is a very important project for the whole civilization in the coming times, we  need a platform resistant to corruption and manipulation of central  powers, through which we can exchange values and create a whole new  web that will bring power and independence to all individuals.
I love geometric shapes and especially the octahedron, the Ethereum  logo inspired me to start creating various artistic variations of the elongated octahedron, and that fits well with the NFT concept, so I decided to make an NFT collection. Since I am already making various sculptures, I decided that each digital model in NFT should also be made physically and that the two go together. One who buys NFT also  gets a physical representation of that NFT. I also compose music, so I got the idea that each NFT in addition to the digital and physical model is also a unique small audio part of a continuously composed song that will end when the last model of the collection is made. Each NFT audio part overlaps with the previous and next part in the  sequence from 001 to 369.

Chris: How can the Ethra0x NFT owner receive the physical NFT? How can he verify the authenticity of the same?

Omres: The first owner of NFT can request a physical model via the official website, twitter or instagram account. The model will be mailed to him. If the first owner of the NFT does not request a physical model, it will be available to the next owner to whom the previous one sells his NFT. There is only one physical model that represents the corresponding NFT. The Ethra0x website contains details about each NFT created and whether a physical model is available or not. There are also macro photos that serve as a visual confirmation of authenticity. There are many handmade attributes that make each model unique and it is difficult to replicate it in an exact copy without distinction.

Chris: Alright, so how can one mint the Ethra0x NFTs? What minting price are you looking at?

Omres: The Ethra0x NFT collection is in a continuous process of creation. When I make a new NFT, I will offer it on the OpenSea market. Initially the prices will be fixed with the possibility of offering your price. Later when more people discover the project, NFTs will be offered in an auction format. I will let the market decide what the prices will be. I will be happy if I cover the time and effort invested.

Chris: It is noteworthy that you call some as NFTs of the future. Could you please explain what are these?

Omres: I have decided that the collection will not contain more than 369 NFTs, and at this time only the first 8 NFTs have been created. I will do my best to make every subsequent NFT an evolutionary advance in complexity and aesthetics, or at least an interesting variation. No one knows what the future holds but I am convinced that the project will be more beautiful as time goes on and will evolve into an attractive art collection.

Chris: We understand that developing the Ethra0x NFTs is a time taking process since each one of them is so unique. How many Ethr0x’s will go up for presale?

Omres: There will be no pre-sales. When I make each of the NFTs in real time, it goes directly to OpenSea. But if the project becomes popular, I might decide to offer a part of the collection in a lottery style where everyone interested will have a chance to win NFT no matter the price.

Chris: Your team is working hard and aims to develop all 369 NFTs in 2 years. That is some real commitment! Please introduce them to us briefly.

Omres: I don’t know exactly how long it will take to build an entire collection, but I can say with certainty that I will not stop doing NFTs until the collection contains all 369 NFTs with associated physical models.

Chris: What is the plan for the future? What new do you plan to bring once all the NFTs are sold?

Omres: For now, all my efforts are focused on creating the Ethra0x NFT collection. I have no plans after the collection is finished, but it is very possible that I will continue to do NFT art for some new collections or for metaverse worlds.

Chris: Before closing, please tell us why did you pick the Ethereum blockchain. It uses up too much energy. Why not pick more efficient blockchain networks

Omres: I chose Ethereum for my NFT collection because I love Ethereum, I trust it and the theme of the NFT collection is related to Ethereum. I am very optimistic about the development path of Ethereum, the upgrade to proof of stake will soon make energy consumption negligible. Today's inefficiencies are "birth problems" that will be eliminated. The ethics and modular design of Ethereum seems to me much better than all the blockchains I’m familiar with. Every other blockchain has some design flaw, many sacrifice security and decentralization for speed and cheap transactions, and I don't see long-term sustainability in them.
