In September 2022, as the Women, Life, Freedom revolution began in Iran, I created a digital painting that captured the spirit of a nation rising. The faceless figure, with flowing black hair and the map of Iran in white, quickly became a symbol of the movement.
Just days after sharing the artwork, it went viral. Kim Kardashian posted it on her Instagram story, exposing it to over 330 million people. Soon after, the piece was projected inside Real Madrid’s stadium and recreated by countless people — on their bodies, on murals, on the streets. It was no longer just a painting — it became a voice.
This artwork holds deep emotional weight for me, as an Iranian and as an artist. It represents pain, resistance, courage, and beauty.
Now, I’ve minted this piece on OpenSea, where it lives permanently as an NFT — a digital testimony to a historic uprising.
I’m humbled by the journey this artwork has taken, and I’m grateful to share its story with the world.
