Born in the village of Brezovo, Boyadzhiev graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia in 1932. His work is generally divided into two main periods: until 1951, when he suffered a stroke and temporarily gave up painting, and from the time of his partial recovery a few years later until his death in 1976. After the stroke, he worked with his left hand and in a completely different manner. This painting is from 1931. The painter was a family friend and the woman on the painting is one of my grand grandmothers. Was a gift to her and since then this painting is in my family.
The painting has never been in any kind of action or exposed in front of people. It is a unique piece of art that I decided to share with the world and the people who value art. It is gonna be only 57 copies of this portrait in honor of my Mother(lets her soul rest in peace).
