Maya Mihero, an 19-year-old girl, lived life like any other teenager, with high school, friends, and computer games. Her world shone with vibrancy, and the people she knew were kind. However, something began to shift. The sky lost its luster, the stars vanished at night, and Maya could find no solace in the news. Life carried on heedless of her worries, and her friends and family seemed indifferent to her concerns.
One day a radiant light struck Maya's eyes, and a deafening clamor rang in her ears. She ran, terrified, but found herself lost in a void of pitch-black nothingness. Her senses slowly returned, and she realized she was still among the living, yet she felt no physical form. Suddenly, agony wracked her for a moment, and the brightness and noise ceased. She awoke to a cold, metallic world unlike anything she had ever known. Majestic machines towered above her, their intentions unknown. Neon lights mixed with darkness, casting an eerie hue on everything, and the air reeked of engine oil and blood. She surveyed her surroundings and saw that she lay upon a heap of metal, wires, and deceased flesh.
Maya had entered a domain ruled by heartless corporations and artificial intelligence, far away from the world she once called home. Her survival was not guaranteed, and terror gripped her heart, but She refused to surrender. Maya Mihero, a girl from another realm, must learn to navigate this world if she hoped to survive.
