This Rebirth project comes after a large period of Death in my life. Through the grief, I quit painting, stopped practicing, burned every painting I had made, and rested- as Death asks us to do. I had to rest in the grief for many moons, grieving my life, my children, my mother, my motherhood, my childhood, and my innocence. I have risen from the ashes of those burnt paintings, and the destruction of my life. I present to you the artistic documentation of my Rebirth.
