One of the largest music festivals in Ukraine Atlas has joint efforts with Binance NFT and eleven most prominent Ukrainian musicians to support the Hero Cities charitable initiative for Ukraine. The list of music icons behind the project is headed by the Eurovision 2022 victorious band Kalush Orchestra, alongside Monatik, THE HARDKISS, ONUKA, and others. Such a powerful backup will help draw more attention to the devastation caused by Russian shells and bombs.
The Hero Cities is a collection of top-tier non-fungible tokens processed by leading Ukrainian artists and dedicated to 12 Ukrainian hero cities most damaged by Russian occupiers. These are Mariupol, Kyiv, Bucha, Hostomel, Irpin, Izium, Kherson, Volnovakha, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, and Okhtyrka. The creative team of artists behind this series includes some of the biggest names in the Ukrainian creative community. Among those are Garkavets Iryna, Khmura Volodymyr, Ryabova Svitlana, Yulia Yevtukh, Mysyk Kateryna, Goryashchenko Kateryna, and others.
Each NFT within the Hero Cities collection is a meaningful artwork, reflecting the unique message of its creator but united under one core idea: returning peaceful life to Ukraine and healing the wounds left on its land by Putin's order. Each city NFT will have only five editions, forming a groundbreaking series of 40 artworks in total.
The artsy collection not only helps raise social awareness and collect funds for Ukraine but also offers additional perks for the minters. Thus, each NFT owner will be rewarded with a voluminous set of autographed merch from their music fav. The Hero Cities NFTs will be put up for auction via the Binance NFT marketplace on May 31st and will last for a week.
“Digital assets, including NFT, play an important role in providing quick and effective assistance in these difficult times for the country. Our project with Atlas Weekend and the best Ukrainian artists at Binance NFT is another step to support our users, Ukrainians, and the country in general,” Kyrylo Khomyakov, General Manager of Binance in Ukraine, commented on the initiative.

In peacetime, Atlas Festival brought together different types of Ukrainian and world culture and this project, teamed with Binance, brought together modern NFT technologies, popular Ukrainian artists, and folk motifs present in the illustrations. We believe that very soon we will be able to hold concerts under the peaceful sky in each of these cities,” the Atlas festival's founder, Dmytro Sydorenko, said.
All funds raised from the NFT sales will be donated to the Music Saves UA charity fund to help affected families in the 12 above-mentioned Ukrainian cities. To participate, you need to be a registered Binance NFT user. The company's NFT marketplace uses the same user data as the trading platform. Thus, you can enter the auction using your Binance account or create a new one.
