The Citizens of San Gaspare is a series of 10,000 NFT portraits of ordinary citizens of the island nation of San Gaspare, painted by the prolific artist Juan-Ruíz de Zapatero between 1928 and his death in 1967.
This is a first-of-its-kind project. We are endeavoring to be the FIRST FEATURE FILM financed by NFTs. Normally, what is put on the big screen is dictated by the powers-at-be at the large studios and streamers. Here, we aim to establish total creative freedom, powered by the blockchain.
These 10,000 unique Ethereum-based tokens will serve not only as contributions towards the budget of the movie but also as their holders’ access to the various perks that ownership has to offer.
