Shellmates is a collection of 4,444 unique hand-drawn turtles. From a range of fun to nerdy traits, we aimed to create some cool PFPs with the art.
But Shellmates isn’t just a PFP collection. Each NFT is born with a digital pet. Five different species of pet traits, two common, two rare, and one extremely rare. These traits, called ‘Pet Type,’ are namely Goldfish, Clownfish, Angelfish, Pufferfish, and Shellmate. Each has a unique look and a different future.
You will be required to log into our pet portal daily to ‘feed’ these pets and claim the daily points, all on chain. Here’s the catch — the daily points are accrued based on how your pet feels each day. If, for example, your pet is happy, you can earn up to 500 points. On the other hand, if your pet feels sick, you get 25 points. Whichever the case, points will be distributed fairly amongst all holders. If you have multiple pets, you can use the ‘feed all pets’ tool to claim all points in one click. The best part? The pet portal is usable on mobile and desktop devices. Should you miss a day, you simply miss the points for that day.
These points can be used to acquire various items for your pet’s tank, customizing their home and enhancing their uniqueness.
Within 60 days, you must have accrued 4,000 points, which will make you eligible for a pet evolution — a free mint into a new NFT partner collection with over 100 new traits. If you have amassed points from feeding multiple pets, you will get a free mint for each pet you’ve fed that has reached 4,000 points.
Shellmates will be available to claim from 3 PM UTC on May 21st. Guaranteed whitelisted users can receive tokens at 0.003 ETH each. Then, a first-come-first-serve model will be implemented at 0.0035 ETH. Finally, the public mint will be done at 0.0038 ETH. Each wallet is eligible for up to 2 NFTs.
