The LVMH-owned Germany-based brand Rimowa is packing its top-tier luggage for a web3 trip, which it will share with Nike's web studio RTFKT. The signature partnership will result in 888 supreme NFTs to be forged into limited-edition Original Cabin Rimowa suitcases. The number of tokens was not chosen in vain, as 888 is globally recognized as a symbol of luck and prosperity.
The iconic German luggage maker Rimowa, with over a century-long history, has always stood out with the most sturdy, lightweight, and stylish luggage. Today, the brand's flagship aluminum suitcase is recognized as a super lightweight, ergonomic invention for travelers who prioritize practicality and fashion. The next-generation Rimowa Classic Cabin is equipped with custom leather handles and a polycarbonate exterior, which originality is referred to as unreplicable, the same as the upcoming NFTs.
But non-fungible tokens are only one part of Rimowa x RTFKT metaverse expansion. Thus, following RTFKT’s traditional riddles and quests model, Rimowa engages its community in participation in the new interactive campaign bridging both digital and physical craftsmanship.
On October 27th, web3 enthusiasts will be offered to solve multiple challenges together to uncover the “hacked” Rimowa x RTFKT Space Station, which needs to be reactivated to enable the feature of minting NFTs.
The exclusive challenge will be also followed by a VIP digital event, where NFT holders can forge their assets to take home a physical Original Cabin Rimowa suitcase.
As part of the event Rimowa will come up with Avatar Wearables, and WorkerBot NFTs to transfer the function of luggage into the metaverse. Thus, in addition to 888 Original Cabin Rimowa suitcases priced at 2.3 ETH, there will also be 2,222 WorkerBots available for grabs at 0.08 ETH per unit.
The access to the RTFKT x Rimowa mint will be determined by a live draw system, accessible to everyone, with two separate events for the Cabin Luggage and the WorkerBot NFTs. To become eligible for the draws, the participants will need to have MetaMask, WalletConnect, Bitski, or a Coinbase crypto wallet with the appropriate sum in Ethereum in it. You can enter both draws, however in case you win in any, you'll have a limited time to purchase. Once you miss your time, the opportunity to mint will be lost.
Clone X holders will have a preference for winning the draw and accessing the mint for both the Cabin Luggage and WorkerBot. Once you are a Clone X owner, you'll have to access the draw, using your Clone X wallet. The more NFTs you hold, the greater your chances of winning are.
