We all know that Santa had his favourite reindeer. There was Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blixen and of course the infamous Rudolph. But did you know that these weren’t the only reindeer to have been involved in the festivities of Christmas?
Before Santa Claus found his 9 favourite reindeer and bestowed upon them a place in his sleigh line-up, each one of them had to go through a very long audition process. In fact, out of the 9 that were chosen to accompany Santa on his yearly round-the-world trips, there were 2023 reindeer who sadly failed to make it through to the final.
Many years have passed and yet, we never heard their stories, we don’t even know their names… and perhaps, maybe we never will - who speaks Reindeer? BUT! We can now finally get a glimpse at them. Those unchosen deer, from long ago, will show us just exactly what they look like.
Ladies & Gentlemen, these are not just any deer, these are the deer that were brave enough to be put through the paces of Santa’s auditions, these are deer that are reminded every year that it’s ok to fail!
These are the Righteous Reindeers!
e’ve not been able to give names to all 2023 reindeer (plus, they haven’t told us yet), so they have numbers for now. 2000 of the Righteous Reindeers will be released across the advent period starting December 1st 2021 and up to December 24th 2021.
Each day 83 NFT portraits of the Righteous Reindeer will be released into the world. We’ll start from the back. So from 1st Dec 2021 deers numbered 1917-2000 will be released. Then on the final day of the advent calendar (24th Dec) it will be deers numbered 1-83 released.
