Resident Evil is probably one of the most blood-chilling and loved zombie-themed horror universes ever released. Currently, after 28 iconic games on multiple platforms, a highest-grossing series of seven movies, comics, animated movies, plays, merch, and more, the franchise is finally entering the NFT space.

To celebrate the outstanding legacy and give the most avid Resident Evil fans a chance to travel in time to the distant 1998, the first official movie NFT platform Movienftz has released 200 Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City poster NFTs. The limited-edition collection features the image of the symbolic red and white umbrella, the symbol of Evil brought to the world by the corporation of the same name.

The NFTs come in MP4 format and are officially licensed by Constantin Film and Constantin Music. The tokenized posters offer you to witness the beginning of Evil while listening to the creepy movie’s opening soundtrack. The collection is now available on the OpenSea marketplace for 0.12 ETH each.

We are excited about providing audiences with an innovative way to engage with cinema specifically through owning licensed poster NFTs. Posters are much more than advertisements, they are pieces of art that audiences have and always will collect. For example, I saw a print of the Taxi Driver poster recently sell through Sotheby’s for over $3,000,— imagine if this was of a fixed limited supply, wouldn’t fade over time, including a section of the movie’s soundtrack through being an NFT MP4 and was fully licensed,” Movienftz founder and CEO Ryan Matthews commented on the drop.

If you are one of those who were counting the days until the new chapter of your favorite game or movie release, you should definitely rush to grab the memorable Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City poster NFT.
