The whole big family of brands behind the LVMH conglomerate is now jumping into web3. The overall digital transformation began after Bernard Arnault expressed his positive attitude towards NFTs.
Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, and other subsidiaries in the luxury portfolio of LVMH have already made some steps in the web3. Now, the luxury beauty house Guerlain is releasing its second NFTs collection on Tezos.
The brand-new non-fungible collection by Guerlain, dubbed Reaverse, which stands for a blend of 'real' and 'metaverse,' is aimed at supporting a rewilding project in the Vallée de la Millière nature reserve in France. The Guerlain NFTs tend “to bring nature back to life in the real world,” the brand says, adding that "joining Reaverse means contributing to a sustainable project and being part of a community."
Reaverse NFT Collection features 1828 Cryptobees that were created by LVMH advisory board member, photographer, and director Yann Arthus-Bertrand to revive 28 hectares of real land. This area is used to research the process of natural rejuvenation with the reduced human impact on ecosystems. Currently, more than 350 flora and fauna species have been identified on those lands. Moreover, Guerlain also owns a beekeeping program as part of LVMH x UNESCO partnership and actively promotes its api-based skincare line.
Now, let's take a closer look at the collection itself. There are 1828 Reaverse Cryptobees collectibles designed in flourishing themes. All Bees are unique and generative and fall in four rarity levels. There are 8 super rare, 20 rare, 500 fairly rare, and 1300 normal NFTs in the Reaverse series. Different rarities are achieved due to 15 species of flowers and plants in the reserve, 21 geological materials found in the area, and geographical coordinates of the land parcel that are linked to each NFT.
The Cryptobee NFTs are being sold on the greenest blockchain Tezos, ranging between 20 to 250 XTZ (around €70 - €890) via the NFT marketplace Objkt.com. While each NFT sponsors a real 69-acre land parcel, 100% of sales will be donated to rewilding the reserved area.
On top of that, by joining the Reaverse community and owning a Cryptobee NFT, you also get a real piece of art, alongside owner-only events, contests, early access to the collection-to-come, and a VIP pass to the wild nature of the reserve.
