Prison Diaries depicts an ever-dormant and unchanging space of a typical prison cell. The body of work represents the introspective journey one is forced to take in a space of isolation or "nothingness" where all external conditions are removed from the space. Under such circumstances, any internal stimulation is heightened, thoughts, feelings, and ideas flow in a current through the person's mind affecting the way they perceive the space around them. Prison Diaries aims to capture this delicate projection of one's momentary self onto the space by portraying the cold, frontal view of the prison space with a combination of meticulously hand-drawn and painted attributes that impose their own presence and character onto the prison cell. As a result, each of the 20,000 unique elevations conveys a nuanced emotional response to the viewer. The first drop of the series will include selected 1,000 collectible tokens.
