We are one artist and one scientist. DaveTheBrave and chicky, bored and inspired by the pandemic, we wanted to create something new together and see where it takes us. This is how BasementGenetics was born almost 3 years ago with the idea of combining art and science. Our first project is the laboratory accident that led us to polygerms. Have fun!

Each polygerm was created using old school, hand drawn illustration combined with advanced generative art techniques and is one-of-a-kind. All polygerms are fabulouse, but a few are rarer than others.
In the fascinating world of polygerms, there are 10,000 different creatures with different levels of rarity, which amaze and enchant anyone who sees them. Further 10% of all polygerms wear masks, making them even more mysterious and special. Among this varied group, there are six super rare polygerms that are legendary treasures, sought after by adventurers and collectors. These elusive creatures inspire stories and curiosity, and their scarcity makes them even more charming and desirable.
