In the fictional Pokemon story, people called Pokemon trainers train Pokemon to fight other trainers' Pokemon. Battles take place until one of the Pokemon falls unconscious or its trainer surrenders--till death the fights never take place. As a rule, strong and experienced Pokemon trainers are respected.
