An avid devotee to fashion innovations, globally-renowned designer Philipp Plein, has partnered with a remarkable 3D artist Antoni Tudisco, and auction house Portion for the first metaverse fashion line in Decentraland.
Soon after the acquisition of VR land for $1.4 million, Philipp Plein has announced he's launching the Decentraland-based fashion brand, Plein Sport. The stylish NFT sneakers for the metaverse fashionistas have been on auction since February 24th.
Each Plein Sports footwear NFT is paired up with its physical counterpart. The holders will later be able to “burn” the NFT component to turn it into a pair of metaverse-compatible wearables, which can be showcased at Decentraland’s wide range of exclusive locations.
For now, futuristic NFT and the IRL copies of Thunderstorm GenX 01 Noire Chrome, Thunderstorm GenX 01 Noire Gold, and Thunderstorm GenX 01 Blanche Chrome are available up to March 31st.
To receive the physical copy of your NFT, you need to specify your size and address and complete the usual checkout process. The physical delivery will start only in July 2022 and every buyer will get a notification and a tracking number. The sneaker will then be delivered in a shoebox, containing a digital screen with additional video content.
