A 16x16 inch silkscreen print, signed, numbered, and framed to perfection
The pair will be available for $2500 USD. Outer Reaches emerges from a series of nine hand-drawn flip-book animations, united in vision. It represents an evolution in Jake's creative process, "I carry these flip-books around in my pocket, and pull them out when I have a chance to work. This process forces me to be more spontaneous with my ideas... Through this late spring and summer I did 9 flip-books in a row, that I was sharing one at a time on social media, that all felt connected. I began to realize that I was making a series or a larger piece of some kind." In addition to the ERC721 film, each collector will also receive a 16x16 silkscreen print, Frame 1 of Outer Reaches. "I find it’s the perfect representation of the entire film, of each section, the launching point from which the entire work unfolds." Prints will be hand-signed and numbered by the artist, and framed. "I wanted to emphasize the bleeding black ink of the original drawings and the layered, ghostly afterimages of previous frames that occur in the animation. It was special for me to work on a silkscreen print for the first time, and exciting to embrace the unique qualities the medium offered."
